Fifi is a beautiful blonde who loves lots of exercise and never misses an opportunity to show off her aquatic skills by splashing around joyfully in water. She is perfectly polite on a leash, interacts well with other canines and thinks belly rubs are blissful. As a healthy one-year-old, Fifi has many years of love to give her forever family.

Penny A507354 - URGENT : Penny A507354 • 3-yr-old • Female • Boxer/Pit mix • Pen 245 • Arrived July 13, 2008

Save Penny, a 3-year-old boxer/pit bull mix.

Penny is a pretty, petite girl who has had the bad luck of going to homes that weren’t right for her. Her first adopter had her for all of four hours before finding out he couldn’t keep a dog and bringing her to Town Lake Animal Center. Her second family returned her when she didn’t get along with their cat. Now she must find a new home -- and soon -- because TLAC doesn't have room to keep her. Aside from cats, Penny is a well-mannered, friendly girl. She is excellent on a leash and good with other dogs. When she’s out walking on Lady Bird Lake trail, she wants to say hello to every person she passes. She’s a smart girl who is alert to people’s wishes. She is housebroken, knows “sit” and can catch a ball in mid-air. When the right home finds Penny, she will fill it with fun and love.

Penny may also be fostered if you don’t have room for another permanent dog. Email PennyATtownlakedogsDOTcom for more information or visit the shelter.

Scully A506644 : Scully A506644 • 1.1-yr-old • Female • Pit bull mix • Pen • Arrived 16-Apr-2008

Scully is nonstop fun and excitement. This go-go girl is always up for some play time, even on the hot summer days. Scully loves, loves, loves playing in the water. You can entertain yourself for hours throwing her toys in the pool and watching her retrieve them one by one. She will even fish treats off the bottom of the pool, plunging her whole head underwater. If you are an active and fun-loving person who loves water sports, then this exuberant young pit may be the perfect dog for you.

Captain A506935 : Captain A506935 • 1.6-yr-old • Male • Basset Hound mix • Pen 16 • Arrived 19-Apr-2008

The folks who named me Captain got it right. I love to stride around with a special person, telling the world we’re coming through (in my musical basset-hound bark). Even though I'm a manly guy, I will show you my soft side if you let me know I can trust you. I'll be happiest if you have another dog I can play with. Wrestling is my favorite! Take me home and let me be the Captain of your heart.
