UPDATE: Livvy is looking for a new home again. While Livvy has done surprisingly well with the 4 children in her home, they make her nervous. Her adopters want a dog that can go anywhere anytime, and that is just not Livvy. Her working drive and breed can make her reactions a bit hard to predict.

Livvy joined Austin Pets Alive! in April 2008. We will feature special dogs such as her if circumstances require immediate action. She was pulled from the euthanasia list and moved into a foster home, though needed to find another place to stay due to foreclosure of her foster mom's home.

Livvy presented very active and appeared perfect for someone equally athletic. She demonstrated serious smarts and would do well in an agility group. We noted to potential adopters that she would do best in a home as an only dog (though she did well with some dogs), without cats and without young children (based on her breed's personality).

We found her a temporary home with one of our volunteers, though she needed a foster home where she could get more individual attention. Our wonderful volunteers came through for her and she was adopted in October 2008.
